More about the RICS Home Survey Level 1
The RICS Home Survey Level 1 (formerly called the RICS Condition Report) provides you with a basic and concise assessment of each part or element of the building.
Your RICS accredited surveyor will undertake an inspection of the property, including the visible interior and exterior parts and any permanent outbuildings and boundary structures as agreed in the terms of engagement.

You will receive a report describing the condition of each part or element of the building that justifies the surveyors’ assessment that will help you gain an objective view of the condition of the property.

If any serious concerns or problems are identified the report will highlight them in an easy-to-follow RICS approved ‘traffic light’ system so that you can address them appropriately with the seller, or a specialist contractor.
The RICS Condition Report (Level 1) may also point out legal aspects of your property, such as planning & building control issues or access rights that should be investigated further by your legal advisers as part of the conveyancing process before you exchange contracts.
Any additional services provided that are not covered by the terms and conditions of this services must be covered by a separate contract.
